"My husband and I live in a historical 1927 Spanish Revival house in West Adams ( "Mid-City"...just off the 10 fwy). My husband is a photographer and I am an abstract expressionist painter. Plus we travel like lunatics and collect like lunatics. The house is beautiful and full of wonderful art and artifacts. My studio is in a separate building off of our yard. The place is large as is the yard."

"When I begin a painting, whether it's on a blank canvas or one covered with old newspapers picked up in my travels, rice paper, pieces of paper bags or thick splashes of paint, I have only a germ of an idea. I attack the canvas, and together the painting and I begin to 'work it out.' I'm interested in the hidden world beneath the surface. I scribble imaginary shapes. I create a private alphabet. I apply paint and scratch it away with my fingernails or an old brush or alcohol. The whole process is very exciting - full of energy and emotion."

"Along with photographing all over the world, I'm also a TV commercial producer and director. ...produced a multi-million dollar shoot for Mission Impossible... everything was very last minute... on a plane the next day for Hong Kong withTom Cruise... The point of this story is that I can roll with the punches, I'm resourceful, I don't get rattled, I love a challenge, and - I play really well with others."
